A Wedding in Braj. Not in a Ballroom.
Let Us Start With the Number
There are thirteen rooms here and forty-five people can sleep in them. There is no ballroom, no banquet lawn built for three hundred, and no vendor compound behind the trees.
If you are planning the wedding most people mean when they say destination wedding, this is not your venue — and you should know that on the first screen rather than after the site visit. There are properties in Mathura and along the Expressway that do it properly, and we will happily say so.
What follows is for the other wedding.
The One Braj Was Always Going to Suit
Some families do not want three hundred people. They want the ones who matter, in the place that means something, eating food their grandmother would recognise.
This property is strictly vegetarian and fully sattvic — no onion, no garlic, at any meal, for anybody. Alcohol is not permitted in any public area. At most wedding venues those two sentences are a problem to be negotiated around. For the family we are describing, they are the entire reason to come.
And then there is where you are standing. Banke Bihari is twelve kilometres away. Prem Mandir is ten. Radha Raman, Nidhivan, and the Yamuna at Keshi Ghat are all inside fifteen minutes. Your guests can take darshan in the morning and be back long before the ceremony.
There is no other way to be married in the middle of Braj and still have somewhere quiet to sleep at the end of it.
A Garden, a Mandir, and Thirteen Rooms
The Garden & Lawns
Where it happens — under the trees, on open ground, with the Navgrah Vatika at one end and the fields at the other. No hall, no ceiling, no carpet pretending to be grass.
The Mandir
A small temple on the farm. The morning starts here — and for a good number of families, so does the day itself.
The Sattvic Kitchen
Pure vegetarian and fully sattvic, with Jain meals prepared without fuss. Not one guest on your list will have to read a menu carefully. Ask for the palak soup.
Thirteen Rooms
Six built in mud, three deluxe, three family suites and a cottage. Forty-five people can sleep here — which for a forty-guest wedding means everybody, on site, together, for the whole of it.
The Reason They Will Remember It
Everything a Planner Asks in the First Call
Answered here, so the first call can be about something more interesting.
The Things That Depend on Your Day
- Whether a mandap or pandal can be set up, and where
- Whether you can bring your own decorator
- What is possible with music, and until what hour
- Whether you need the whole property for your dates
- What all of it costs
Call. Do Not Fill In a Form.
A wedding has too many moving parts for an enquiry box — the season, the numbers, whether you need all thirteen rooms, and whether your date collides with Braj’s.
We will tell you in one conversation whether this is your venue. Including, if it isn’t, that it isn’t.
